Singapore passport holders DO NOT need a visa for Vietnam for every stay of maximum 30 days. They only need a visa if they wish to stay in Vietnam for over 30 consecutive days.

Singaporean citizens and passport holders have two methods to get a Vietnamese visa to choose from if their length of stay is longer than 30 days:
1. Get Visa at Local Vietnam Embassy
Contact the local Vietnam embassy/consulate in Singapore (if you are residing in Singapore), or in nearby countries (if you are not residing in Singapore currently) to get visa stamped on your passport prior to going to Vietnam.
The applicants in this way will need to prepare the required document as guided by the embassy and then visit the embassy at least twice, one for submitting the documents and one for picking up the visa and passport.
